“UkrSibbank” to be No.1 in Ukraine in terms of capital stock as rated by The Banker magazine in its “1000 world’s major banks” list
JSCIB “UkrSibbank” BNP Paribas Group to rank first among the Ukrainian banks in the rating of 1000 world’s major banks published by The Banker magazine (London) in terms of tier one capital stock.
“Dynamic and efficient development made it possible for “UkrSibbank” to be nominated a leader of such prestigious international rating. It was only in the year 2006, that the Bank’s assets, capital stock and loan portfolio grew more than 2 times”, - said Oleksandr Sulyaev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSCIB “UkrSibbank”.
BNP Paribas (France), “UkrSibbank’s” shareholder and strategic partner, was extremely well off in the rating with its 3rd position in terms of assets and 11th in terms of tier one capital stock (it has been a 13-grade rise during 2006) among 1000 world’s major banks, as well as 1st rank in terms of the amount of assets and 2nd in terms of tier one capital stock among the French banks.
The Banker is a monthly edition published since 1926, and a world-famous financial and analytical issue, which features international banking business, investment business, capital markets, trade and project finance, etc., as well as financial news, analytical reviews and interviews with renowned bankers and financiers. Rating of 1000 world’s major banks in terms of first-level capital stock as of the end of the past financial year is published annually in July issue of The Banker magazine. Apart from the information about a bank's capital, rating also includes asset amount and dynamics, profit, capital adequacy indices and asset profitability data, etc.
JSCIB “UkrSibbank” BNP Paribas Group participates in The Banker’s rating for the first time ever. Since the beginning of the year 2007, "UkrSibbank" was awarded as “Ukraine’s best bank of 2007” twice, by Global Finance (New York) and Euromoney (London).
