“I will be your friend”: UKRSIBBANK supported the exhibition “Running” at the Mykhailo Bulhakov Museum

UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group has supported the exhibition “Run” at the Mykhailo Bulgakov Literary Memorial Museum, that starts today — November 21, on the occasion of Mykhailo’s Day.

The theme of travel, running, emigration is cross-cutting in the work and life of Master. On the one hand, it is a personal dream to see other worlds, a love of geography and travel, that will remain just a dream. On the other hand, the desire to escape from Soviet reality. Later these two desires will become the basis of the art world, where there will be real countries and other dimensions.

The exhibition title is in line with Mykhailo Bulhakov’s play “Run”, where the author tells about the emigration, people lives in foreign countries and sadness for their homeland. Many people of that time have gone through this difficult journey. Among such people were Mykhailo Bulhakov’s brothers.

The idea of the exhibition is to give an example of one the family and their house. The house at 13, Andryivskiy uzviz became the last address of Bulgakov family. Here on the second floor big family lived, here all ten children – the heroes of this exhibition gathered, these children had prepared for adulthood to dreams came true, flight, but not for running.
