Doing business during the war is a challenge that Ukrainian entrepreneurs did not expect. But statistical data show that they start and continue their activities even further. So, in 2022, Ukrainians created 33,837 legal entities, as well as 201,295 limited liability companies. Thanks to the "Finansyst" program, entrepreneurs, in particular, future entrepreneurs, will be able to learn the information that will help them open or support their own business. This is very important, because it is the enterprises that will be the driving force that will help us rebuild the country after the war.
The small and medium enterprises of Bucha city is the engine that was able to restart the economy of the municipality immediately after liberation, in April and May 2022. We realize how much business has suffered from the hostilities, so we actively work with donors and partners to help entrepreneurs restore capacity and rebuild what was destroyed.
According to the results of business surveys, which the Office for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Export and the national project Diia.Business is regularly conducted together with partners, 17.2% of SME representatives call the lack of a sufficient number of qualified workers one of the obstacles to business resumption. A series of open practical lectures within the framework of the "Finansyst" program will provide entrepreneurs with knowledge that will help them effectively manage finances, implement new technological solutions and marketing strategies. This will help Ukrainian business to recover faster and strengthen the country's economy. By helping the business to develop, we bring our common victory closer.
Also, as part of the cooperation, a special consultation area was opened in Bucha city, where every entrepreneur can get free financial advice from UKRSIBBANK and Mastercard.
Small and medium enterprises are a critical driver of the Ukrainian economy. Today, entrepreneurs show incredible resilience, adaptability and perseverance. At the same time, for a more confident entry into the market, a business needs mentoring, expertise and networking. Therefore, we support the initiative of creating a space that will provide new relevant knowledge, help entrepreneurs develop business, where ideas will become strategies, where success stories will appear that will make a positive contribution to the recovery and sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy.
Entrepreneurs are the driving force behind the development of the Ukrainian economy and its further recovery. For many years, Mastercard has actively supported Ukrainian business, in particular, by launching specialized financial products, digital solutions and initiatives that help entrepreneurs develop their own business. And we are glad to join our efforts with our long-term partners UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group and Diia.Business to provide Ukrainian entrepreneurs with even more opportunities, knowledge and support on their way to recovery and growth.
