UKRSIBBANK and Startup.Network launched the startup competition with USD 10,000 prize

“The search of the unicorn” will start in Kyiv, on May 25

“Time to Grow the Horn” — is secret name of the All-Ukrainian Startups Battle organized by Startup.Network and UKRSIBBANK for Ukrainian IT and fintech companies.

“Battles” between creative teams will take place in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Lviv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia and Mykolaiv. The first “search of the unicorn” will start in Kyiv, on May 25.

At the end of August, winners of the investment competitions will gather during the Final stage in Kyiv to race for the main prize — USD 10,000 that will be granted by UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas to the most active and creative team.

“UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group services 15% of Ukrainian IT-companies. Thus, our aim is to help them move ahead to greater success. We are sure that talented young entrepreneurs, in contrast to anybody else, deserve all the possibilities for their ideas to be noted and appreciated. We want to give such entrepreneurs a chance to implement their ideas and find investors for further active business development”, — said Kostiantyn Lezhnin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board on Retail Banking at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

Participation in the qualifying round and on the Final Startups Battle “Time to grow a horn” is absolutely free, but only for those teams, which have successfully passed the preselection stage.

Only one team will be selected as a winner in each city. It will be the team with a greater number of scores under the results of the expert council. This project will participate in the final stage of the Startups Battle “Time to Grow the Horn”.

“It is not our first cooperation with UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group. Last November we held joint Startups Battle in Cherkasy. The results surpassed all our expectations. The Series of Startups Battle “Time to Grow the Horn” is designed to be the logical continuation of this productive partnership. We are uniting forces to support prospective entrepreneurs, who are developing IT and financial startups and providing them with investments”, — said Oleksandr Soroka, the CEO of Startup.Network.

To participate in the Startups Battle, it is necessary to register a startup, fill in the form and wait the results from the expert council of the Startup.Network. Applications are currently being accepted.
