UKRSIBBANK has released the Corporate Social Report for 2021

For the second year in a row, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group has released the Corporate Social Report, which describes the key initiatives that bank implemented to meet the UN goals of sustainable development and contribute to the sustainable development of business, customers and society.

UKRSIBBANK, as part of the BNP- Paribas – leading European financial Group with world experience, strives to ensure sustainable economic development, reducing environmental impact, while ensuring compliance with global societal values and high standards of corporate governance.

In 2021, the bank continued to support socially important projects launched earlier and develop new initiatives: support for small and medium-sized businesses, gender equality, new formats of the Women in Business program and financial education, culture of innovation, etc. The ESG approach (Environmental, Social, Governance) became the basis of the bank’s decisions. Thus, in 2021, UKRSIBBANK issued the first “green” tranche to finance electric vehicles, supported corporations operating in Ukraine in their energy transition. Thanks to the Priceless Planet Coalition initiative, the bank has provided the opportunity to contribute to climate change through daily NFC payment card payments for more than one million customers.

“In today’s world, business plays an important role in a society that is increasingly faced with serious and diverse challenges. As a result, when building plans for the future, modern business should give more and more attention and time to the issues of corporate social responsibility. Thus, work on sustainable economic development, global climate change, social risks and corporate governance are becoming an integral part of the action plan for the upcoming years in many international corporations and Ukrainian companies as well”, – said Yanina Olkhovska, Director of Communications, CSR and Engagement at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

We remind that in 2021 UKRSIBBANK became a member of the UN Global Compact. The bank reaffirmed its commitment to the Ten Principles of the Global Compact in the areas of human rights, labor relations, the environment protection and the fight against corruption. The bank also received the Business Hero Award of the European Business Association.
