UKRSIBBANK signs the Declaration – for Gender Equality: UN Sustainable Development Goals

UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group signed the Declaration for Gender Equality and Prevention Domestic Violence to commit the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 #5 “Gender Equality” and # 8 “Decent Work and Economic Growth”.

Back in 2011, the bank introduced gender equality policies. I would like to point out that today our team has more than 5000 employees, 76% are women, 59% in managerial positions.”

Supporting women and believing that they are able to change the community, society is a worldwide trend. Leading companies are committed to helping women effectively combine careers, business and parenting, are learning to look for development opportunities and make decisions to be an entrepreneur.

Back in 2018, BNP Paribas Director Jean Laurent Bonnafe became the ambassador of the UN Global Movement — HeForShe, a movement that encourages men to support women’s initiatives and advocate for equality in society. The signing of the Declaration on Gender Equality and Prevention of Domestic Violence in Support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals took place during an online forum for the corporate sector to show how big, medium and small businesses benefit from equality and prevention of domestic violence organized by UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, and expert organization CSR Development Center with the British Embassy Kyiv support.
