I have been working at UKRSIBBANK for almost 22 years. I joined the bank at the end of 2001 as an individual business specialist in a small branch (analogous to the current position of a financial advisor in branches). After working for almost a year in a small branch, I moved to a large branch in the centre of Kyiv. It was a very good experience for me, as the large branch had a very impressive list of operations and client workload.

At the Head Office, I held various positions in Retail. Now I have been heading the Retail Sales Department from 2020. That is, my career path has been connected with the Retail business.

 

What inspires and motivates me?

First of all, I like the fact that UKRSIBBANK is an organisation that allows you to open up and grow as a person and a professional. Perhaps I have this impression because I grew and changed together with this organisation. Both we and the Bank have become more mature and professional. I cannot but note the opportunities that each employee has for development if they are determined to do so.

If we look at the advantages of our organisation, it is the internal climate that prevails here, everyone is trying to move in the common direction, to build horizontal relationships between employees and departments. And this is very valuable because it is impossible to build a good service for customers in the absence of all the conditions for harmonious work of our employees.

 

I would also like to mention people – they are the main asset of UKRSIBBANK!

This applies to both managers and ordinary employees. Interaction with each of them brings experience, a joint result, and sometimes development when you need to overcome obstacles and change people’s minds. In general, there is no development without difficulties, and it is good that we face them.

This allows us to move forward. I am looking forward to seeing you in our team!

I have been working at UKRSIBBANK from 2009. I started my career as a corporate business manager in my hometown of Kharkiv. I have always been attracted to working with people, not numbers. But corporate business was transferred from the regions to the capital, and I moved to the operational vertical as Head of Cash Management with 7 subordinates. My experience of working in other banks in operational and financial monitoring departments helped me a lot. It was at this time that the operational vertical started developing and new units were being formed to focus on customer research.

I was offered the position of Head of the Legal Entity Identification Department with 15 subordinates.

 

I had to organise the work of a completely new division with a new line of business for the Bank.

As the Bank continued to grow, it was necessary to create another new division for the identification of individuals with 60 employees.

After this offer, I wondered for a moment whether I would be able to cope at all. But my manager was very supportive, as she said, “Where there are 15 employees, there will be 60. We need to start working in six months”. And I ran on… It was an interesting challenge.

 

We were the first to start using robots, opening accounts online, and interacting with the state programme Diia.

2 years ago, I made a drastic turn in my career, taking advantage of internal mobility opportunities, I joined the HR Department and moved to Kyiv. This is finally it!

I am an HR business partner for almost 500 bank employees, TOP management, and interns. I support them with all HR issues. And most to the point, I help people with their career development needs, training, interaction and team management.

 

This is work with people, about people, for people.

I’ve outlined my journey in a few sentences, but I don’t want you to get the impression that everything was easy. The components of my success are the constant development of myself as a leader, a manager of a new reality; constant learning, raising my professional level in any way; participation in the bank’s events aimed at development and training; initiative in forming a close-knit team; support and faith in me from my manager; constant challenges and confidence that if someone else did it, I can do it too; I knew who and where to turn for help; developing myself physically and mentally all the time.

Only happy people can deliver high performance. This is my unconvincing vision of modern business. But for this to happen, you yourself must have the resources and radiate confidence and self-satisfaction. So try, try, don’t be afraid to find your dream job using the huge opportunities within the organisation, such a market leader as UKRSIBBANK.

My overall career with the Bank began in 2011. Like many people, I chose a “temporary” job, but as you can see, there is nothing more permanent than temporary. I took up the position of a Credit Consultant, which means that from the very first days of my work, I had the opportunity to work directly with our clients, communicate, and get to know their expectations and needs from the inside.

Then there was a long way of 10 years of work in human development, change management and customer experience, and in 2021 I was promoted to the role of product owner.

 

Experience that makes you grow!

Now I can say for sure that every step on my way, every Client and every colleague, every difficult situation or failure becomes the experience on which you grow. It’s like the butterfly effect – if it hadn’t happened then, it wouldn’t be what it is now. At the same time, it is important not to stop, as soon as you stop learning, developing, making mistakes, stop setting yourself new challenges – the second you stop, you will start losing, there is no point of permanence, there is only movement.

All the «magic» is exclusively within you, your choice to act, your energy and its investment.

In January 2016, I was hired as a category 2 specialist in the Contact Centre’s Arrears Department. I was fascinated by the work of a collector from the first call to a client, so even as a 2nd category specialist, I was already creating instructions and memos for the work of leading specialists. My initiative and willingness to take on any task contributed to my rapid career growth, and within a year I was promoted twice: first to the position of Category 1 specialist, and then to the leading specialist position.

As a leading specialist, I took an active part in training and coaching new employees, as well as in improving the quality of operator conversations by listening to calls and providing feedback. The management recognised my productivity and in October 2018 I was promoted to the position of manager of the remote debt settlement department.

Productive work as a manager (the title of the best employee in 2019, repeated TOP indicators in the department) served as the basis for my participation in the competition for the position of Head of the Information Reference Department. I have been in this position from 2021 — my main achievements during this time include the creation of a productive management team and the 2nd place in the all-Ukrainian DZWINNER competition in the «Manager of the Year» nomination.

For me, UKRSIBBANK is like my first love. I am currently the head of branch No. 456 in Kyiv at 7 Andriivska Street (florist, motivator, athlete and brand ambassador).
