Common Dream: UKRSIBBANK Clients have raised funds for children with Down syndrome
On the New Year holidays eve, it is time to sum up the results of the annual «Silver Coin» campaign — the grant program «All children are dreamers» from UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group and the All-Ukrainian Charity Organization «Down Syndrome», the purpose of which is to raise public awareness of the needs of children with the syndrome and support the initiatives for the children’s development.
Within two-month period, the Bank’s Clients donated through the UKRSIB online application and had collected 130 700 hryvnias. And together we are stronger: UKRSIBBANK decided to make its contribution to the Charity Project and additionally allocate 400 000 hryvnias. Thus, more than half a million hryvnias will be transferred to the All-Ukrainian Charity Organization «Down Syndrome» to support the initiatives of public and charitable organizations of Ukraine that take care of the development and education of children with Down syndrome.
The announcement of winners will take place at the end of January 2024. The jury of the program includes the representatives of the «Down Syndrome» Organization and UKRSIBBANK.
Each Client who joined the «Silver Coin» Project contributed to realizing the dreams of children with Down syndrome and creating a happy and productive life for them. It is more than just a donation it is an expression of humanity and commitment. Supporting those who are in need is an important part of the Bank's values, which reflect a deep understanding and concern for each individual. That is why we decided to additionally support the «Down Syndrome» Organization’s initiative and allocated another UAH 400 000 for the grant program «All children are dreamers»
The purpose of this competition is to support initiatives for children with Down syndrome in Ukraine and to raise public awareness. The lack of knowledge about the peculiarities of communication with such children leads to fears and rejection, which is transmitted from adults to children and becomes the reason for the formation of a non-inclusive society. We plan to support initiatives that will promote socialization and inclusion, educate new generations on the principles of equality, and popularize charitable activities.
Since 2009, UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group has been actively cooperating with the All-Ukrainian Charity Organization «Down Syndrome», directing efforts at improving the lives of people with Down syndrome in Ukraine. During the campaign, thanks to the support by Clients, the Bank managed to raise funds for the implementation of significant projects, in particular: equipment for the specialized Center for Early Development of Children with Down Syndrome, sharing the Programs for the development of speech and reading, seminars and complex diagnostics, consulting the children and parents, printing of special literature, grants for the implementation of regional inclusion projects to improve the quality of life of people with Down syndrome.
