SHE Congress 2021: Women’s entrepreneurship is an incredible force for economic development

More than 17 000 participants joined the online broadcast of the main event of the spring for businesswomen SHE Congress with the participation of UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

Strategies for the development of women’s entrepreneurship became the key topic of the congress this year. 20 businesswomen, CEOs, leaders in their fields shared their experience of starting and scaling a business, negotiating, leadership skills and cases of building a strong team.

«Women are more successful in business development, as they invest most of their income in their businesses, make decisions more prudently and responsibly, they can practice multi-tasking and have brilliant communication skills», – said Yanina Olkhovska, Director of Communications, CSR and Involvement at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group.

At the congress, UKRSIBBANK shared statistical data on the challenges that women face while starting and developing own business:

• 56% of women experience a lack of knowledge in management, taxation, marketing and other specific areas;
• 52% are not confident in their own abilities and are not ready to take risks;
• 42% lack investment.

Yanina Olkhovska also presented to the participants the program of UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group “Women in Business”, which in 2020 was included in the first report of the UN Global Compact in the framework of achieving 17.
