UKRSIBBANK joined the Supervisory Board of the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine
Laurent Dupuch, Chairman of the Management Board UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group, joined the Supervisory Board of the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine as well as other CEO’s of participating companies, heads of businesses and public organizations.
The Supervisory Board of the UN Global Compact in Ukraine plays a key role in determining the strategic direction of the organization’s activities, fulfilling its mission and ensuring transparent functioning and reporting. The Supervisory Board is designed to promote and support the 10 Principles of the UN General Assembly in the areas of human rights protection, labor relations, environmental protection and the fight against corruption. It has also to encourage customers, partners and society to follow the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Modern business, when making plans for the future, should pay more and more attention to issues of corporate social responsibility. Economics’ sustainable development, global climate change, social risks and corporate governance according to ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, Governance) become a central part of our actions plan. As a member of an international financial group with global experience, we see that positive banking contributes to the sustainable development of the economy, by reducing the impact on the environment, and by ensuring compliance with global values of society and high standards of corporate governance. I am convinced that together with the members of the Supervisory Board of the UN Global Compact Network in Ukraine, we will be able to continue to positively influence the well-being of Ukrainians, bring our victory closer, and plan the recovery of Ukraine in accordance with the goals of sustainable development.
