The BNP Paribas Group has announced the cessation of funding for tobacco-related activities

On November 24, 2017, the BNP7nbsp;Paribas Group announced the cessation of its financial and investment activities related to tobacco producers as well as traders whose income is mainly derived from tobacco.

The World Health Organization’s Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) is an international treaty developed under the auspices of the World Health Organization in 2003, which describes the strategy to combat the global epidemic of smoking. He was signed by 176 of the 193 WHO member countries, including Ukraine. Compliance with the requirements of the FCTC by the companies will further contribute to the prevention and reduction of tobacco use.
