UKRSIBBANK joined the Task Force on the Implementation and Enforcement of Law in activities of the State Environmental Inspectorate

UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group joined the Task Force on the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law and attended its first meeting addressing the requirements of the European Green Deal, currently being implemented in the EU countries.

“Promoting the best environmental practices is determined by the BNP Paribas Sectoral Policy and applies to all countries where the Group operates. Consequently, where UKRSIBBANK can counteract climate change and make the difference to the environment, we are taking active steps by applying international experience”, said Yanina Olkhovska, Head of Communications, CSR and Engagement at UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group. “As part of cooperation with the State Environmental Inspectorate’s Task Force we are ready to share real case management practices to join our efforts in developing positive impact culture”.

The Environmental Committee’s Task Force at the State Environmental Inspectorate also includes business and community representatives who will be working to bring Ukrainian legislation in compliance with European requirements.

“The Task Force is aimed at bringing Ukrainian legislative and regulatory framework covering environmental enforcement in compliance with European legal requirements. And this transformation must meet the concerns of all stakeholders – both business and community”, said Andriy Maliovany, Head of the State Environmental Inspectorate.
